The service
FastWordCount provides an online word counter and character counter tool at fastwordcount.com. The tool runs entirely in your browser. No account is required.
Your content
Any text you type or paste into FastWordCount stays on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never seen by anyone other than you. You retain full ownership of your content at all times.
Acceptable use
You may use FastWordCount for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or interfere with the service
- Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the tool at scale
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws
No warranties
FastWordCount is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Word and character counts are accurate for standard text but may vary slightly for unusual formatting, special characters or non-Latin scripts. We make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
FastWordCount is not liable for any damages arising from use of the tool, including reliance on word or character counts for any commercial, academic or legal purpose. Always verify critical counts in your primary application (such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs) before submitting.
Third-party services
FastWordCount is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics for anonymous pageview counting. These services have their own terms and privacy policies.
Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date below reflects the most recent revision.
